Introduction

My name is Luke Smith!  I graduated from Mississippi State in 2015 with a degree in Computer Science.  I worked at a software company in Meridian for about two years before realizing I did not want to spend the rest of my life sitting at a computer.  I had recently taken a head soccer coaching job at Clarkdale High shcool in Meridian, I knew that I would much rather spend my time doing that than sitting at a computer desk.  I researched ways to start teaching and found the Alternate Route Program.  I entered the Masters of Teaching- Alternate Route Program at Southern in the summer of 2019 and started teaching 7th Grade Math in August of 2019.  I am set to graduated with my Masters in December of this year, and I am entering my second year of teaching as well.
